Nalagenetics was honored by Digital Transformation Office Indonesia Ministry of Health as Top 3 Best Innovators in Health Innovation Sprint Accelerator 2022 on Thursday, March 24th, after going through competitive selection among 105 innovators from startups, universities, and research institution.
Health Innovation Sprint Accelerator 2022 was held by Digital Transformation Office Ministry of Health in collaboration with United Nations Development Program (UNDP) and supported by Japan government. This program aimed to encourage innovation on health-tech and bio-tech as long-term investments in order to improve the quality and equity of health services for society. Indonesia Minister of Health Budi Gunadi Sadikin has declared three priorities one of which is the development of ecosystem in health innovation.
From 105 participants who registered to this program, 15 teams were chosen to join roadshows in several cities in Indonesia, including Medan, Bandung, Surabaya, and Makassar. In the roadshows, these teams had a chance to build network with investors and government stakeholders in order to further discussions and aspirations regarding the health-tech and bio-tech fields.
On the last day of the incubation program, Demo Day Health Innovation Sprint Accelerator 2022, the best five teams who made it to the final stage had their showcases presented in front of judges. The winners are the following:
1. Nalagenetics (Clinical Decision Support, bio-tech), Top 3 Best Innovators
2. Femicam (FEMICAM Medical Camera, health-tech, Top 3 Best Innovators
3. Semudah Health (NIRGOMO, health-tech), Top 3 Best Innovators
4. BIGStar (Big Data in Support of Analytical Research, health-tech), Most Voted Innovator
5. TeleFuture (Vital Sense, health-tech), Most Voted Innovator
Nalagenetics Clinical Decision Support™ (CDS) is a software made with ISO standards for product development quality, security, and confidentiality. This software has several modules, such as a pre-test module to view subjects that can be genetically tested, an analysis module to perform standard analysis from raw data into a VCF file, a reporting module to create clinical reports, a dashboard module to see the frequency of genetic variants that have been tested, and also the risk prediction results of the tested population.
Chief of DTO Ministry of Health declared that Ministry of Health is committed to establish regulatory sandbox to help the innovators to create tangible products and bring about positive impacts on healthcare landscape in Indonesia.
